all of us have heard of dietary supplements in our life and many of us to regularly take them in form of pills what are these supplements then they are basically preparations intended to supplement the diet and provide nutrients such as vitamins minerals fiber fatty acids or amino acids that may be missing or may not be consumed in sufficient quantities in a person's diet many people take protein powders from the gym or medicine shop many others take pills which contain omega-3 fatty acid or other such minerals we must understand though that most dietary supplements are unnecessary if one has a sufficiently healthy die and particular neutrals in these supplements are more easily absorbed by the body when they are eaten in the foods that naturally contain them only a small proportion of the total population has a real need for any supplement and then it is only those people who are unable to consume the food required to obtain the nutrient for example those who are lactose intolerant take a calcium supplement so in spite of the huge growth in the market one must make sure that we consider our physician before we start popping pills or taking protein powders on our own do not fall into trap of unnecessary dietary supplements make a wise decision and enjoy a healthy life you
