Mixed Sprouts Adai | Healthy Protein rich Adai | Suitable for weight loss

Hi Friends today we are going to see a healthy sprouts adai I have already put a video on doing mixed sprouts (link in description) In that video I have highlighted the health benefits of sprouts In today’s adai there is a huge amount of protein and fiber contents even if you eat 2 adai’s you will not feel hungry for a long time. Indirectly this adai helps in weight loss Now lets begin the video Ingredients for sprouts adai are I have put 4 chili’s as they are spicy variety if you want you can increase the quantity if you dont have black urad dal, replace with white urad dal if you dont have black urad dal, replace with white urad dal Along with this I am adding curry leaves since they are high in iron it is good for hair fall issues not only that those who are anaemic, can include this in the diet for health benefits not only that those who are anaemic, can include this in the diet for health benefits you can replace idly rice with brown rice Now we will wash it for 2 to 3 times In this we will add 2.5 cups of mixed sprouts After that mix them once Now we will soak them in water minimum of 4 hours Now we will soak them in water minimum of 4 hours 4 hours over… If you observe on top there is a layer of foam formed the reason for this foam is due to the addition of sprouts Can add sprouts without soaking? Answer is no Answer is no if there is kabuli channa If you are using moong beans alone then you no need to soak the sprouts But kabuli channa is big in size,so only sprouting would have happened and it is not ready to be ground directly If you directly put them then you mixie or grinder would spoil So if you are using kabuli channa make sure to soak So if you are using kabuli channa make sure to soak Now strain the foamy water and wash them again Now strain the foamy water and wash them again You are not supposed to wash with the foamy water After washing, strain the water again lets start adding into the mixie or grinder I am using grinder, you can use mixie jar also I am using grinder, you can use mixie jar also if you use mixie jar, you might need to grind it in 2 or 3 batches thats the only difference Add water little by little and grind Dont grind so smoothly like dosa grind it coarsely After griding this must be the consistency This is the right consistency for adai to come perfectly Now we will add hing powder I am going to add 1/2tsp hing powder Now lets mix it Now some people would like to store it for 4 to 5 days Now some people would like to store it for 4 to 5 days At this stage you put the batter in the fridge So whatever you want to use it for today, reserve it now and the rest put in fridge So whatever you want to use it for today, reserve it now and the rest put in fridge Now I will be telling you additional ingredients for what we are going to use immediately Now I will be telling you additional ingredients for what we are going to use immediately In that batch I am adding salt I will leave it for 1 hour After 1 hour it would raise up, adai at that taste will be very nice But this is purely an optional step I adding 1 cup onion, you can adjust And I am adding ginger 2 tblsp Along with this you can add grated carrots or coriander leaves, its all our choice If needed we can add grated coconut now we will mix them all If you are going to keep in fridge means, addition of salt, onion and ginger will make the adai batter to spoil faster thats why you must not add these 3 ingredients if you are storing in fridge you just seperate them and put in fridge Now lets begin making adai Take a dosa tawa and make it hot Once its hot, lets add 1 tsp coconut oil and lets spread the oil After that pour 1.5 ladle full of adai batter In one bowl take water.. Dip you hand in water, start making adai like this until you can withstand the heat spread the adai batter Once you feel hot, dip your hand in water and repeat Once your you have finished spreading the adai Take the spoon and make 3 holes Take the spoon and make 3 holes After that add around 3/4tsp of coconut oil in the corners and inside these 3 holes if you want you add more oil After that you close with a lid this will take around 4mins to cook I have given the gas heat range of top left corner of the video you can follow that After 4 minutes, flip it this will take 2 to 3 minutes After turning lid is not needed Based on the thickness of adai, timings would change a bit mostly 1 or 2 mins difference So after adai is finished Serve like this You can have this along with avail or jaggery even butter Thats it our simple mixed sprouts adai is ready Thats it our simple mixed sprouts adai is ready Do leave your comments when you try them out, will see you in another video soon.
