hello everybody I'm dr. up with a common apple and I'm glad you're watching this video in this video I'll be talking about fasting fasting is abstaining from eating for a specific period of time every day your body is either in a state of being fed or in a state of fasting being fed increases sugar insulin and fat when your body is in state of fasting it burns sugar lowers insulin and burns fat if you don't balance your periods of feeding and fasting you are not going to be in balance and you're going to gain weight biologically your body is not designed to run optimally when it is continuously fed many biological repair process takes place when your body's in the rest mode and not in the digest mode there are many different variations of intermittent fasting that are used around the world which follows a different eating pattern in order to achieve a physical result most common types of intermittent fasting or fasting diets include alternate day fasting this diet involves eating only every other day on fasting based some eat no food at all and others eat a very small amount typically around 500 calories or non fasting days they eat normal healthy diet the warrior diet this diet involves eating only fruits and vegetables during the day and then eating one large meal at night 16 by 8 fasting also often referred to as time restricted feelings for this method you fast for 16 hours every day and limit your eating to 8 hours eat stop eat pick 1 or 2 days out of the week fast for 24 hours eat nothing from dinner one day until dinner the next day on the other days you have a normal calorie day 5 is to to diet for 5 days of the week you a turn or Mille healthy diet for the remaining 2 fast days you should restrict your calorie intake between 500 to 600 calories each day intermittent fasting gives your body more time to effectively digest when you're eating and eliminate waste here are some benefits of intermittent fast weight loss by fasting about 14 to 16 hours a day you will give your body more than enough time to drain your glycogen stores and shift into fat-burning mode once your body shifts from burning sugar to burning fat as it's your primary fuel you will find it easy to maintain because fat is a slow burning fuel you will not only have more balanced energy supply but you will also avoid the typical sugar highs and lows that come with typical dives lowers blood sugar and insulin levels every time you eat you add sugar to your bloodstream and your pancreas produces insulin to deal with it intermittent fasting allows yourself time to actually burn the glucose stored in them this improves insulin sensitivity allowing insulin to do its job helps repair cells when you fast you give yourselves a break they go into a mode called autophagy which allows them to do cellular maintenance and repair during this phase cells discard unusable proteins and other trash it increases human growth hormone HGH fasting greatly increases the amount of HGH in your body when you fast this helps you burn fat gain muscle maintain optimum fitness and slows the aging process it recalibrates you're grilling Levitz grilling is the hunger hormone and fasting helps bring it back to normal so that you feel satisfied sooner when you eat fasting also reduces inflammation and damage from free radicals it improves your brain function when you fast your brain increases neurotropic factors which improves cognitive function many who fast intermittently describe that they can think more clearly as a result decreases blood pressure and resting heart rate regardless of the program you choose your food choices matter healthy fats are essential because intermittent fasting pushes your body to switch over to fat-burning mode particularly if you begin to feel tired and sluggish it may be a sign that you need to increase the amount of healthy fat in on diet your diet should be high in healthy fats moderate in high-quality protein and also include unrestricted amount of fresh vegetables ideally organic although intermittent fasting is beneficial for various aspects of health it may not be ideal for everyone especially pregnant women should avoid intermittent fasting and focus in stone and nutrition diet rich in vitamins and minerals if you suffer from sugar issues diabetes thyroid or if you are recovering from any surgery reconsider intermittent fasting to avoid alterations in important hormones if you have a history of eating disorders this may not be ideal for you as it may encourage unhealthy behaviors and trigger symptoms if you are a child or teenager and still growing it an intermittent fasting is not recommended for you either and also people who are underweight which is defined as having a body mass of index eighteen point five or less should avoid intermittent fasting I hope you can start making these changes to your diet and enjoy better health here is a scripture to meditate on some 3124 so be strong and courageous all you who put your hope in the Lord thank you for watching and I'll see you in my next video you
