Can I exercise while pregnant?

My name is Connie Conover. I’m a certified nurse-midwife. There are many benefits to exercising during
pregnancy. It’s a great way to maintain your weight and
not gain too much. Women should gain between 11 and 35 pounds
depending on your pre-pregnancy weight and staying active really helps maintain a normal
weight gain. Women who gain too much weight are at
risk for developing diabetes of pregnancy and also high blood pressure issues. In addition, it helps build up their stamina because labor is a lot of work and you’re going to need to be in good shape in order to be able to labor well and push that baby out.
