on Friday after the US Food and Drug Administration said it was seeking to reduce nicotine levels and cigarettes shares of major tobacco companies in the US and UK slumped in heavy volumes British American Tobacco shares trading close to all-time highs fell as much as 11% and were on track for their biggest one-day loss in nearly 18 years the sharp slide was poised to wipe off about 60 billion dollars off the market value of the world's biggest tobacco producers
