ALIGN – Yoga for Mental Health – Nicole Postma

Hi my name is Nicole Postma and I’ve recently joined the team here at Yoga by Sarah as a member of our new ALIGN program. The ALIGN program is designed to support those individuals struggling with mental health. This program uses yoga as a tool to help individuals understand the connection between their body and their brain, and to help develop coping skills so that they’re able to move forward in their everyday life. The ALIGN program includes both talk therapy as well as a specialized yoga practice called Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga. This practice is specifically designed to help support people struggling symptoms of complex trauma and PTSD. It can be helpful for those struggling from anxiety or depression, or other mental health concerns, and can be useful for children, adults and youth.
