25 HEALTHY HABITS! Healthy Hacks You NEED To Know!



hi everyone and welcome back to my channel and welcome to a new video and in today's video I'm going to be showing you 25 at different healthy habits and hacks that you can put into your life to have a happy and healthy year I feel like because it's the beginning of 2017 everyone is thinking about health and wanting to get on track especially after the holidays so these will definitely help you first thing when you wake up that means before the coffee you need to drink water especially because you've been sleeping all night you're dehydrated you don't want the first thing to go into your body to be coffee because coffee is dehydrating so make sure you drink a lot of water the first time you wake up number two is to make pretty healthy food I don't know about you guys but I love making pretty smoothie bowls any kind of other bootable or any kind of pretty salad and then I can Instagram it and it looks pretty pretty which I like as well number three is to make a smoothies with a nutrient boost that you don't even have to taste so throw into some spinach some kale some chia seeds and flax seed and you don't end up really tasting them but they add a lot of nutrients a lot of omegas a lot of vitamins and minerals that you can just get into your body that you don't have to tailor for is to make a smoothie packs it to save time so take your favorite fruits you can even throw the greens in the freezer bag and that way in the morning or in the afternoon when you want a quick snack you just throw the liquid with your frozen fruit and blend and you are good to go number five is to have an Epsom salt bath especially if your muscles are sore and basically an Epsom salt bath will help relieve your muscles because of what an Epsom salt bath is made of and all the magnesium number six is to always take the stairs and I always do this if there's like an escalator and a stairs paired beside each other and let the mall the subway or wherever you are I love taking the stairs it's just that little bit of extra added activity number seven is for when you're making it your purse workout the protein smoothie and that is to put the liquid first and then the powder on top I did it the other way round for so long and I used to get so frustrated because it would just stick to the bottom and not all the powder would mix number eight is to a meal prep not only will this save time but this will also save money do what I do on Sundays I just like make my lunches for the week you can make lunches and dinners if you want number nine is to use Wi-Fi or the Internet to pass time at the gym or I go on Instagram and like I stalk your guys photos and like them so if you want me to like your photos just go to my leis Instagram and tell me you're from this video and then I will definitely like them add spices that don't have salt to them to give flavoring and also to boost your metabolism so you can add garlic powder you can add onion powder red chili flakes cayenne for you love it is to use an app like a My Fitness Pal to track your micro and a macro and nutrients number twelve is to cut back on caffeine I know guys it's hard but caffeine is basically a punch to your adrenals by subbing a couple cups of coffee out for like an herbal tea there are so many teas out that taste good and I bet you can find one for you number thirteen is that you get more sunshine sunshine is so important that they actually prescribe it to depressed patients like that is the effect that vitamin D and sunlight has on us so even if it's winter try to get out for a little bit number 14 is to check at the menu out before you're going out for a restaurant so this way you can plan out what you want to even sometimes have nutrition facts so you can find something that fits within your diet number 15 is to wait 15 to 20 minutes after a meal before you go for seconds and that's because it's a signal from your stomach to your brain that tells you when you're full actually takes that long to go up so you might keep eating and eating more thinking you're still hungry but you're actually full number 16 is to have a peppermint tea after your meals peppermint tea is amazing for digestion and deep bloating and just helping you after you eat I love making peppermint tea with fresh mint leaves Victoria Beckham even swears by it like that is how much hype is around peppermint tea number 17 is to swap out some desserts for some healthy items there are so many healthy desserts that you can make and I do have quite a venti videos on healthy desserts and I will link them down in the description box number 18 is to use lemon while you're cooking lemon is great because it's alkaline so it's going to help balance the pH in your body and if you've also been like eating a little bit more poorly if you've been eating a lot of fast food processed food sugar like white carbs the alkaline is helped balance all that acidity so you can put the lemon juice just in water you can put it on salads stir-fry literally everything you can put Lebanon just squeeze them on top number 19 is super important and that is to get a good night's sleep and if you guys do have trouble falling asleep I do have a hacks video that is like I think over 100k right now so definitely check that out but it's super important to make sure you get that seven to eight hours a night so try not to stay up till like 2:00 3:00 in the morning watching Netflix because you're just not going to feel good the next day number 20 is to be active at least 30 minutes per day whether you're even exercising in front of the TV whether you're playing those fun like you know those games you see the internet for like or the bachelor like you know do a squat whenever she does this or like do a push-up whenever they do this like you can find that for pretty much any show and that way you're watching your favorite show but you're also getting some exercise in number 21 is not to limit calories but rather focus on where your calories are coming from for example it's better to eat 200 calories of an apple than 100 calories of a Twix bar because the ingredients and the nutrition of the Apple is going to do more for you even though it's more calories than the 100 calories of a Twix bar so make sure that your calories are coming from Whole Foods rather than focusing on how many calories you're actually eating number 22 is to look at the ingredients and make sure getting real food only if so many additives so many chemicals you definitely want to read what you're putting in your body and make sure you know those ingredients and they're not additives and they're not chemicals or like any kind of fake sugars or anything like that number 23 is to not beat yourself up if you have a slip-up and you get to the gym and like don't get discouraged don't like hate on yourself for not getting to the gym don't get down on yourself and don't beat yourself up because nobody's perfect and you can't always get to the gym you can't always eat like a salad like just don't worry about it as long as you're making healthy choices overall and you're just trying to better yourself and get more healthy that's what's important number 24 is to listen to your body and what I mean by this is if you find that eating dairy makes you feel like crap or makes you bloated or makes you break out then don't eat like dairy because your body does clearly not like dairy or if that happens with gluten eat the way your body feels because you'll notice when you eat something if your body doesn't like it or your digestion doesn't like it they will let you know like you will just feel it or you'll get blow or you'll get be in pain something so just listen to your body and how it feels when you eat that food and just eat the way your body likes whether that's being and whether that's paleo look whatever that means for you just do that and number 25 is to use YouTube for free workouts YouTube has so many great workouts and ones that have honestly kicked my butt especially like I love the ballet beautiful ones I'm gonna link some of those down in the description box those   1. I have to walk up and down the stairs all the time because my room is downstairs and the kitchen living room bathroom and door to lead outside is upstairs because my room is in the basement

  3. what would your advice be for someone who's been slightly overweight their whole life but eats healthy food and exercises regularly? I exercise at least 1 hour a day and try to eat whole foods, I've even done intermittent fasting.. but I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere. I feel better overall, from changing my diet to be cleaner but I can't SEE the difference, and it bothers me. ๐Ÿ™

I am 12 years old and even I eat healthy I can't lose weight… I eat less than 1200 calories per day, I exercise but I am stuck like 90 pounds and ~5'3… I have so much fat on me (8%) that I can't lose. I eat some low-fat dairy (my body has clearly no problem whith this and my parents don't allow me to get the non-fat), gluten to (but again I have no problem). For example today I ate: 1 glass of milk (106 calories), 36 grams oats (138 calories), 127 grams of apple (67 calories), 1 normal serving lentil soup (~422 calories), 23 grams whole weat bread (from ore bakery so it has not preservatives, ~80 calories). Total: 825 calories. As a snack I will have 100 grams of penapple (50 calories) and for dinner I think I will have a salad and again some bread so it is not over 1200 calories.
    I don't want to eat that much, my parents make me. For one week I eat 600 calories a day but then I fainted…
    My doctors say that I am dangerously underweight but I am really fat…
